'Purely Pizza' started its journey as a touring street food stall. Seeing such a passionate and authentic brand go from a Gazebo to this stunning Victorian Bank conversion has been a pleasure. Being a brand that we have supported and watched grow from strength to strength over the past few years, it was a real honour to play a part in bringing their new space to life.

Chord's Challenge

Finding a more permanent home to continue cooking up their Italian goodness was a natural progression for 'Purely Pizza'. This, however, proposed a challenge for us at Chord: how do you incorporate urban Neapolitan pizza with a sleek, clean and laid-back space?

Final Result

Combining existing rustic architecture and clean, crisp colours was the winning combination. Using reclaimed scaffold board for the feature signage, we were able to emanate that home-grown cosy atmosphere upon entry. For the touch of urban Naples, we utilised vinyl's conformable properties to create a street art graffiti look, ambiently lit up. Pictures taken by owner Colin Robinson on his pizza pilgrimage to Naples were printed on a matt vinyl and framed around the dining area. Our capabilities don't stop at signage; we commissioned two glass features to keep the kitchen separate from the dining area whilst still showcasing that huge Gozney pizza oven. The small things make the biggest difference; subtle window frosting added that final touch, cut out lettering and door flanks, branded side windows and plain frosted dining area windows all tied in to the colour scheme, lighting and overall feel.
